Bhubaneswar: A girl reportedly working in a bar was found dead in mysterious circumstances in her rented house in Badagada area of Bhubaneswar.
The deceased, identified as Sulochana Das (22) was a resident of Tirtol in Jagatsinghpur. The exact reason of her death remains unclear. Her family members alleged that she was murdered.
Sulochana was staying with her boyfriend in a live-in relationship in the rented accommodation in Bhubaneswar for the last few days.
Her boyfriend named Nihar Giri informed the family members of Sulochana regarding her death. Since then, he went incommunicado.
Though Sulochana was found hanging in her room, family members alleged that she was murdered.
Her father alleged that her boyfriend had proposed to her for marriage. There might be some disputes between them, her father said.
She had been staying in Bhubaneswar for the last one year and performing various stage programme.
Based on the written complaint of her family, Badagada police registered a case and launched an investigation. Police seized some food materials and liquor from the spot and started the investigation with the help of a scientific team.
