Barabati Stadium Land Scam: OCA Ex-Secretary Ashirbad Behera’s Son-In-Law Deposes Before ED
**Bhubaneswar: ** While the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is already probing into the Barabati Stadium land scam and financial irregularities in Cuttack city allegedly committed by former Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Ashirbad Behera and his kin, Behera’s son-in-law Sanjit Samal on Thursday was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here to depose.
While Samal had been served notice on Tuesday to depose within a week, he reportedly reached the ED office here at around 10.30 am on Thursday.
Ashirbad Behera’s son-in-law Sanjit Samal was interrogated for over 3 hours by the Enforcement Directorate sleuths.
In his media reactions, Samal said that he has revealed everything whatever was asked by the ED officials regarding the Barabati Palace allegedly built on government land within the Barabati Stadium premises.
ED has been probing into the Barabati Stadium land scam and financial irregularities and has brought Ashirbad Behera, his son and son-in-law under the scanner. ED has registered a case against them in 2017 and investigating into it.
