**Bhubaneswar:** The Baramunda Bus Stand which is now in the dilapidated condition would be re-developed into an inter state bus terminal (ISBT) by 2019 as per the review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
During this meeting, vice chairman of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) Dr Krishan Kumar presented the much awaited Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) project plan to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
According to the BDA vice-chairman, ”This project would cover Rs 1800 crore. The contractor selection and the finalization of the engineers drawing for this project would be over by March 2018. The construction of the ISBT is likely to start by June and phase-1 completion of the project would be by June 2019”.
As per the design concept, the terminal area of 9,839 square metres would have a ground floor of 4,434 square metres and the first floor to third floor 1,832 square metres (each on floor) making it a total of 5,496 square metres.
