Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar ADJ Court-II on Friday awarded life imprisonment to three persons in the much talked about Baramunda triple murder case nearly 27 years after the crime was committed.
The court after convicting Rudra, Jitu and Chitta in the triple murder case on the basis of the statements of the witnesses sentenced them to undergo imprisonment for life.
The trio had brutally murdered Biswajit Nayak, Dilip Ray and Sarada Rath on 11 July, 1996 over past enmity.
While police had arrested Rudra, Jitu and Chitta, the fourth accused in the case expired.
