Bhubaneswar: Two district headquarters towns of Odisha-Baripada and Jharsuguda figured in the list of the top 15 hottest places in the world on Monday.
According to eldoradoweather.com, a global weather forecasting website Baripada, the district headquarters town of Mayurbhanj ranked the 4th hottest place in the world on Monday by recording a maximum temperature of 44.2°C.
Similarly, the district headquarters town of Jharsuguda ranked 12th hottest place in the world by recording a maximum temperature of 43.4°C, according to eldoradoweather.com.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), as many as 24 places in Odisha on Monday recorded a maximum day temperature of 40°C.
