Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a battery scooter caught fire on the Trishulia Bridge in Cuttack on Wednesday morning. The rider, who was on his way to work, had a miraculous escape, narrowly avoiding a major accident.

According to eyewitnesses, the rider was on his way to the office when he noticed smoke coming from the bike. He immediately stopped and jumped from the vehicle just in time. The bike was completely gutted in the fire by the time the fire department reached the spot to douse the fire.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit, but an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause, said sources.

The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the need for regular vehicle maintenance to prevent such incidents.
