Bhubaneswar: The World Skill Center (WSC), a premier advanced skill training institute established in Bhubaneswar by the Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Odisha in collaboration with the Institute of Technical Education Services (ITEES), is offering two full-time courses namely Beauty Wellness and Spa, and Hair Fashion and Design.
The courses are being run under the School of Services (SOS) in the WSC. Each course is for one year offering an Advance Certification on completion. Students who have passed a +2 or diploma in any discipline and are between 17 to 30 years are eligible to apply for the courses.
The course fee is only Rs 5000 including food, lodging, course materials, uniform, and transportation. Interested students can visit the website https://www.worldskillcenter.org to get more details and apply for the course.
“By becoming a beautician and a hair stylist, you have control over your own schedule, you can enjoy a steady source of income, and give back to the community because you make everyone beautiful,” said SOS Director Suguna Srinivasan.
Principal Secretary of Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Hemant Sharma said the WSC boasts of state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms, and courses. The trainers have also received training on modern educational techniques in Singapore.
