Berhampur ITIans ‘Scrap Guitar’ Makes Entry Into Asia Book Of Records

Berhampur: Students of state-run Industrial Training Institute (ITI) earned another laurel when their 70 feet ‘Scrap Guitar’ found an entry in Asia Book of Records. The piece has been registered under Grand Master category of Asia Book of Records.

About 150 students from various trades such as fitter, electrician, welder, turner and painter came together to create this magnificent masterpiece out of waste. It took the team 22 days to finish the sculpture.

The students expressed their happiness over this rare feat and thanked their Principal Rajat Kumar Panigrahi and their teachers for all the help and support they received from them.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was joyous and hailed the students to keep up the good work. He took to social media to convey his wishes.

He wrote, “Congratulations to students of ITI Berhampur for their artistic creation, 70ft guitar from waste materials, entering into Asia Book Records. Happy to see our youth embrace such worthy causes to show their skills and shine on global platforms. #SkilledInOdisha.”
