Bhubaneswar: The State Government has appointed Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke as the new Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC). The General Administration and Public Grievance Department has issued a notification in this regard.
Rajeshirke, a 2021-batch IAS officer, previously served as the Sub-Collector of Balasore and Executive Officer of Balasore Municipality.
The state government has directed Rajeshirke to immediately relinquish his current responsibilities and join his new posting. Notably, the BeMC Commissioner post has been accorded the equivalent rank of Deputy Secretary in the Odisha government. This appointment aims to bring effective governance and development to Berhampur city under Rajeshirke’s leadership.
