Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, a member of a baarat party was killed and two others were critically injured after coming in contact with sagging live electric wire at Padakana village under Banta police limits in Bhadrak district today evening.
The deceased has been identified as Prabhat Swain of Sunagadia village under Banta police limits in Bhadrak district.
According to reports, while the baarat party procession was underway Prabhat came in contact with a low-lying live electric wire which left him critically injured.
Trying to rescue him two youths got critically injured. Locals rushed them to the Government Hospital at Banta.
However, they were referred to the district headquarters hospital here where attending doctors declared Prabhat dead.
The other two are undergoing treatment at district headquarters here while their condition remains critical.
