Balasore: Passengers of a MEMU train going from Bhadrak to Balasore had a narrow shave on Tuesday owing to the presence of mind of the loco driver.
According to reports, as the MEMU train was approaching Nilgiri Road station on Monday afternoon it entered a loop line owing to some technical glitches on the track. As the driver realised this error, he immediately brought the train to a halt and informed the signal outpost. Once the track error was resolved, he reversed the movement of the train taking it back from the loop line to the main track.
After successfully taking the train on the main track again, he drove it towards Balasore, thereby saving the lives of hundreds of passengers.
Once the train reached Balasore travelling on track No. 4, passengers heaved a sigh of relief and showered praises on the loco pilot for his presence of mind.
