Bhadrak: The Superintending Engineer of Salandi Canal Division in Bhadrak and his brother-in-law were today nabbed by Odisha Vigilance with unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 5 lakh.
Reportedly, Superintending Engineer Srimanta Kumar Sethy and his brother-in-law Karunakar Sethy (shopkeeper) were found in possession of suspected ill-gotten cash to the tune of Rs 5 lakh which Sethy could not account for satisfactorily.
Following the interception, simultaneous searches were launched on the properties of Sethy at his Government Quarter at B/5 Delta Colony, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar, his residential house at Bhadrak Town, and his brother-in-law’s residential house at Khantapada, Balasore.
