Balasore: Sushree Suvangi Khuntia of Bankasahi in Bhadrak has cleared the Civil Services Exam-2022 with an all-India rank (AIR) of 248, the results of which were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) today.
Sushree Suvangi comes from a humble background. She is the only daughter of Satyanarayan Khuntia who runs a cyber cafe in Bhadrak town to earn his livelihood.
Earlier, while undergoing training at the Collector’s office in Bhadrak after securing 97th rank in the Odisha Civil Services Exam, Sushree Suvangi had decided to take Civil Services Exam conducted by the UPSC and had started preparing for it.
In the meanwhile, she appeared for the Civil Services Exam-2022. Today afternoon she got a phone call from one of her friends that she has cleared the Civil Services Exam. After checking the results herself she came to know that she has been selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
On Sushree Suvangi cracking the Civil Services Exam, she and her family are on cloud nine. On getting the news, tears of joy rolled down her father’s cheeks.
In her reaction, Sushree Suvangi has said that given an opportunity she would prefer to work in the Education department.
