Bhubaneswar: Usharani Bal (86), the wife of the late Bhajan Samrat Bhikari Bal, passed away on Monday evening at a private hospital due to age-related illnesses.
According to reports, she had been admitted to a private hospital after she fell sick on November 2, the day of her husband’s death anniversary. As her condition deteriorated, she was shifted to the ICU. After spending some days in the ICU, she recovered and was discharged from the hospital. However, her health deteriorated again, and her family admitted her to the hospital, where she passed away.
Usharanani was known for her kindness and devotion. Her family, including sons Ashok Bal and Amiya Bal, son-in-law Dr Sunamani Rout, and grandchildren were by her side when she passed away. Her funeral will take place at Swargadwar in Puri tomorrow.
