Bhubaneswar: The five suspended cops of Bharatpur police station in Bhuabneswar who have been accused of assault on an Army Captain and his girlfriend on September 15 will undergo a polygraph test in Gujarat on Monday.
According to reports, the five cops, including the Bharatpur IIC Dinakrushna Mishra will be subjected to lie detector tests at a forensic laboratory at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. A three-member Crime Branch team has taken them to Gujarat following permission of the SDJM court in Bhubaneswar.
IIC Dinkrushna Mishra will face polygraph, brain mapping and narco test as murder charges have been lodged against him.
The remaining four cops – SI Baishalini Panda, ASI Sagarika Rath, Salilamayi Sahu and one police SI present at the police station on that night – will only undergo polygraph tests. Since there is no eyewitness or CCTV evidence of this incident, this SI has been accepted as an eyewitness in the case.
