**Bhubaneswar:** There is good news for the several Odia people settled in Gujarat, as direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Ahmedabad is all set to operate from September 1 onwards, the authorities of the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) informed today.
The Bhubaneswar-Ahmedabad direct flight has been scheduled to start from Ahmedabad at 8:55 AM and reach BPIA at 11: 20 AM. The return flight will depart Bhubaneswar at 11:50 AM and reach Ahmedabad at 2:10 PM.
The flight has been started by Indigo Airlines and is numbered 6E 953/ 6E 954.
The inconvenience being caused by poor connectivity between Odisha and Gujarat has already prompted Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to write letters to Union Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal for introducing new flights and trains.
