Bhubaneswar: A thick blanket of dense to very dense fog has engulfed the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, disrupting normal life and air travel, on Friday.
According to sources, the fog, which started rolling in early this morning, has reduced visibility to almost zero, causing traffic chaos and flight disruptions.
Flight services at Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport have been severely impacted, with several flights delayed due to poor visibility. Passengers have been advised to check with their airlines for the latest flight schedules and updates.
The dense fog has also affected road and rail traffic, with several highways and roads witnessing slow-moving traffic. The fog has disrupted daily life in the twin cities, with people struggling to take their wards school.

Adverse weather conditions have impacted both domestic and international flight operations since morning. Passengers were seen waiting for hours to reach their destinations.
The Met department has warned of continued foggy conditions over the next few days, advising people to take necessary precautions while commuting.
