Bhubaneswar: As heatwave is prevailing over Odisha, the State capital city turned the hottest among the cities and towns with a maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius on Sunday.
Till 2.30 PM today, Bhubaneswar recorded 43 degrees Celsius, Jharsuguda recorded 41.4 degree Celsius, Sambalpur and Chandbali recorded 40.8 degree Celsius, Hirakud and Keonjhar recorded 40 degree Celsius.
Likewise, maximum temperatures of 31.8, 32.4, and 38 degree Celsius were recorded at Paradeep, Puri, and Balasore respectively, informed the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.
