Bhubaneswar: At least 11 places in Odisha recorded day temperatures (maximum temperature) of 32°C and above at 11.30 am on Tuesday. The capital city of Bhubaneswar was the hottest place in the state at 39.4°C closely followed by Balasore at 38.8°C.
According to the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), day temperatures recorded at different locations in the state at 11.30 am are as below:
- Bhubaneswar: 39.4°C
- Balasore: 39°C
- Paradip: 38.8°C
- Chandbali: 38.8°C
- Jharsuguda: 37°C
- Gopalpur: 35.4°C
- Puri: 35°C
- Keonjhar: 34.4°C
- Rourkela: 34.1°C
- Sambalpur: 33.4°C
- Hirakud: 32.8°C
Meanwhile, the weather office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms, rain and lightning in 15 districts of the state today.
