Bhubaneswar: Evan as heat-wave conditions prevailed across Odisha, the state capital Bhubaneswar was the hottest place in the state recording 39°C at 11.30 am on Tuesday.
According to the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Jharsuguda closely followed Bhubaneswar recording 38.4°C and whereas Sambalpur was the third hottest place in Odisha recording a temperature of 38.2°C at 11.30 am.
Meanwhile, the IMD has forecast that the day temperature (maximum temperature) will increase further by 2°C to 3°C in the next few days.
People have been advised to refrain from stepping outside the house from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm unless it is very necessary.
