Bhubaneswar: With the soaring temperature across Odisha for the last few days, the mercury touched 32.8°C by 8.30 am in the capital city Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, the official Twitter handle of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional office here said.
The city has been sizzling since the morning hours in the Capital. As of 8:30 am, the temperature in the capital city of Bhubaneswar has been recorded at 32.8°C, the tweet read.
It is worth mentioning here that the humidity level here which is at 79 percent is making matters worse for residents by raising the rate of dehydration and heat-related ailments.
The maximum day temperature is likely to be 39°C on Tuesday, while the minimum temperature is likely to be 28°C, said the Regional Meteorological Department in its latest bulletin.
Meanwhile, a yellow warning has been issued for Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonpur, Angul, Devagarh, Boudh, and Balangir on Tuesday for a heat wave.
