Bhubaneswar Sweet Stall Owner’s Murder: Two More Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The special squad of the Commissionerate Police arrested two more individuals involved in the brutal murder of a sweet stall owner of Samantarapur under Lingaraj Police Station (PS) limits on September 4.

The arrested accused are Sritika Biswal and Ashutosh Mohanty. Motorcycle and sword used in the murder were seized from them.

On October 8, prime accused Raja Behera had surrendered. A day later his parents Dillip and Sasmita Behera, grandfather Balaram Behera of Dolabedi Sahi, Shishupalgarh under Dhauli PS, Biswajit Barik of Jarakani under Delanga PS in Puri and Rasmi Ranjan Barik of Bhimatangi near Lingaraj station under Airfield PS were arrested.

The sweet stall owner, named Jambu Sahu was murdered in broad daylight over alleged professional rivalry. The brutal murder triggered panic and outrage in Samantrapur in the Old Town area of the Capital City.
