Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has extended the annual state-level annual flower exhibition at Ekamra Kanan in Bhubaneswar by a day, following an enthusiastic response from visitors.
Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Minister Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia announced the extension, stating that the exhibition, which was originally scheduled to conclude on January 11, will now continue until January 12.
The flower show was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on January 7. It is a collaborative effort by the Regional Plant Resources Centre (RPRC) and the Plant Lovers’ Association.
This year’s exhibition features 70 stalls set up by agencies from across Odisha, showcasing an impressive variety of flowers. Visitors can enjoy over 500 types of blooms, including roses, marigolds, dahlias, zinnias, and ferns.
The decision to extend the exhibition reflects the growing interest and enthusiasm among the public, making it a vibrant celebration of nature and horticultural artistry in the state.
