Bhubaneswar’s COVID Tally Crosses 50,000-Mark With 1,118 New Cases On Thursday

Bhubaneswar: The cumulative tally of COVID-19 positive cases of the city crossed the 50,000-mark on Thursday. With 1,118 new coronavirus cases detected today, the total number of COVID positives detected so far in Bhubaneswar surged to 50,448.

With this spike, the active cases tally has reached 9,861. Three persons died due to COVID in the city today, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) data revealed.

Out of the total number of cases detected so far, 40,288 COVID patients have recovered from the disease. Today, 673 recoveries were reported here.

Out of the new cases, 185 are in quarantine while 933 are local contact cases. Total 278 persons have lost the COVID battle in Bhubaneswar till May 6, 2021.
