Bhubaneswar: In a shocking revelation, a vigilance raid on properties linked to Bibhudananda Mishra, Forest Range Officer of Dhenkanal Range, has uncovered a vast array of assets, including multi-storeyed buildings, high-value flats, plots, farmhouses, cash, gold, and vehicles.
Among the seized properties is a double-storeyed building located in Dhenkanal town, a testament to the officer’s significant holdings in the area.
In addition to the building, the raid also revealed a flat in Bhubaneswar and two flats in Hyderabad, indicating the officer’s investments in real estate across multiple cities. Furthermore, a 5-acre farmhouse in Cuttack was also discovered, complete with a multi-storeyed building, poultry farm, horticulture nursery, and park, showcasing the officer’s diversified interests.
The officer’s land holdings are equally impressive, with 8 plots in upscale areas of Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal seized during the raid. These plots are likely to be highly valuable, given their location in sought-after areas.
The searches, conducted by the Vigilance Technical Wing, have so far revealed:
- A double-storeyed building in Dhenkanal town
- A flat in Bhubaneswar and two flats in Hyderabad
- A 5-acre farmhouse with a multi-storeyed building, poultry farm, horticulture nursery, and park in Cuttack
- 8 plots in upscale areas of Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal
- Bank deposits worth approximately Rs 40 lakhs
- Gold weighing around 300 grams, including a diamond necklace and earrings
- Cash worth Rs 4.13 lakhs, including Rs 1 lakh concealed in a flush tank
- 2 four-wheelers and 6 two-wheelers
The valuation and assessment of these assets are still being carried out, and the searches are ongoing.
