Bhubaneswar: A youth went missing while bathing in the sea at Dhabaleswar Beach in Ganjam district on Sunday.
The missing persons has been identified as Abhishek Ranjan, a resident of Danapur village in Bihar.
According to reports, Abhishek had come to the Army Air Defence College in Goalbandha along with three friends to appear for the Agniveer recruitment examination. The incident occurred while the group was bathing in the sea. Abhishek was reportedly swept away by strong waves. His friends immediately alerted nearby tourists, who informed the local authorities.
Upon receiving the information, fire service teams from Berhampur and Kanisi rushed to the spot and launched a search and rescue operation. However, the youth remained untraceable till the time of filing this report.
