Puri: Tension prevailed in the Penthakata DAG Colony under the Sea Beach Police limits in Odisha’s Puri district on Thursday morning after the body of an outsider was recovered from an open drain outside the colony.
The deceased was later identified as Ranjit Pandey (35), a native of Motihari district in Bihar.
According to reports, locals spotted the body floating in the drain early on Thursday morning and informed the police. The police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
