Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday launched the distribution of health cards under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) in Sonepur and Boudh districts.
Total 1.50 lakh beneficiaries in Boudh and 3.72 lakh in Sonepur received the BSKY health cards. Apart from the distribution of health cards, Naveen inaugurated projects worth Rs 300 crore in Sonepur and Rs 483 crore in Boudh on the occasion.
The State Government is committed to the development of both the districts, the CM said adding that with the new MSME park at Sonepur industrialisation will take a new shape in the district. A hospital has also been inaugurated at the district headquarters office to augment health services.
Similarly, in Boudh, steps will be taken for developing the tourism potential of the district, said CM. A Nandan Forest Safari will be setup with an investment of Rs 20 crore in the district which will augment eco-tourism in Boudh, he added.
In Boudh, Rs 4 crore will be invested to develop 37 tourist spots. The smart health cards will boost health care and support for the needy in both the districts, said Naveen on the occasion.
