Bhubaneswar: Further expanding the scope and coverage of the ongoing universal free of cost healthcare scheme ‘Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana’ (BSKY), Odisha Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department today signed a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AIIMS, Bhubaneswar unit.
The MoU was signed today in a bid to provide medical treatment to the BSKY beneficiaries.
The pact was signed in presence of Odisha H&FW Minister Naba Kisore Das and Commissioner-cum-Secretary Dr Pramod Kumar Meherda.
In his media reactions, the Health Minister said, “Till date we had 196 health institutions registered. Today we inked the agreement with AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. Now the figure goes up to 197. Following this step, lots of people will be benefitted from the treatment by AIIMS. Hon’ble Chief Minister had directed us to do so. Today it has been complied.”
He informed, “We have already decided in our department today and instructed all the private hospitals to accept all the patients under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana. No patient should return unattended.”
Responding to media query, the Odisha Health Minister reiterated, “Let the Centre give us proposal on Ayushman Yojana, whatever will be the best for Odisha, we will implement it soon as our Chief Minister has already made it clear.”
