Koraput: Two persons were killed when a Bolero collided with a bike they were travelling in near Thorodriput near Patrapur under Jeypore tehsil in Koraput district, late last night.
The deceased were identified as Lalu Khara and Pitu Jani from Gadia Dhoba Sahi.
According to reports, the bike was heading towards Jeypore, while the Bolero was going towards Baipariguda when the accident took place.
They were taken to Jeypore-based District Headquarters Hospital in critical condition. However, they were declared dead by doctors at the hospital, informed Jeypore Sadar Police Inspector Sachindra Pradhan.
Meanwhile, Jeypore Sadar police have launched an investigation into the accident.
