Balasore: A bike-borne miscreant allegedly looted Rs 1 lakh from a woman in broad daylight near Jaleswar’s Chandana in Balasore district on Tuesday.
According to reports, Manjulata Pal, a resident of DP Pur village under Raibania police limits after withdrawing Rs 1 lakh from SBI, Jaleswar branch was returning home with her nephew on a bicycle when a miscreant riding a black motorcycle snatched the bag containing the money from Manjulata and fled the spot. Manjulata had withdrawn the money to buy a piece of land.
Following the incident Manjulata has lodged a complaint with Jaleswar police in this regard.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter following the complaint.
