Bhubaneswar: Four bike-borne miscreants attacked a youth with a machete in the busy Hadagodia Chhak locality under the Town police station limits of Puri on Monday evening. The victim has been identified as Harihar Sahu.
According to reports, while Harihar was walking through Hadagodia Chhak under Town police limits four miscreants who came on three bikes suddenly attacked Harihar with a machete before he could make out anything. While a profusely bleeding Harihar lay on the road writhing in pain, the miscreants fled the spot.
On being informed by the locals, police reached the spot and rescued Harihar. The police then admitted him to the district headquarters hospital. As his condition deteriorated he has been shifted to a hospital here.
Police have started an investigation in the matter and launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants. Police suspect it to be a case of previous enmity.
