Bhubaneswar: In a broad daylight robbery, two bike-borne miscreants allegedly snatched a bag containing Rs 3.25 lakh from a brother-sister duo near Prachi Enclave under the Chandrasekharpur police limits on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM as the siblings were returning home after withdrawing Rs 3 lakh from the SBI Chandrasekharpur Phase-I branch. The woman, who had an additional Rs 25,000 in her bag, was on a bike with her brother when the miscreants stopped them and swiftly fled with the cash.
The duo filed a complaint at the Chandrasekharpur police station, and authorities have since launched an investigation. Police are currently reviewing nearby CCTV footage and conducting a manhunt to apprehend the suspects.
