Bhubaneswar: A bike rider was killed when sand from a truck fell on him near Pultuka Reserve Colony on National Highway No 26 in Odisha’s Koraput district on Monday morning.
While the precise identity of the deceased is yet to be informed, it has been found that he was from the Muniguda area in the Rayagada district.
According to reports, the young man was going to Koraput Medical Center from Jaipur on his bike when he was hit by a truck loaded with sand. After the accident, a heap of sand fell on him killing the biker died on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the truck. The driver of the vehicle has also been detained for interrogation.
