Puri: A 35-year-old biker was killed after being hit by a car at Dhirpur Chowk on Gop-Nimapara main road in Puri district on Thursday.
The deceased youth has been identified as Prabhat Kumar Mallick of Karanji Sahi of Nimapara Bishnupur.
According to reports, the car after hitting Mallick dragged him for nearly 100 metres, killing him on the spot.
Irate locals blocked the road and staged a dharna demanding compensation for the kin of the deceased.
