Bhubaneswar: A biker and his pillion rider were injured on Bhubaneswar-Cuttack road near Balikuda on Monday when the biker’s neck and the pillion rider’s palm got entangled by manza string used by a kite flier.
According to reports, the injured duo was travelling to Cuttack from Niali.
The biker was seriously injured as the manza string got entangled and cut his neck following which he lost balance and fell down.
The string also entrapped the pillion rider’s palm and he too got injured.
Both were rushed to SCB Medical College & Hospital for treatment.
Worth mentioning, Cuttack police have banned the use and sale of ‘plastic’ and Chinese ‘manza’ strings for kite flying.
