Berhampur: The Anti-Ragging Committee and Discipline Committee of the Binayak Acharya College have decided to rusticate all the 12 students seen in the ragging video.
All the 12 seen in the video will be given their TCs and removed from the college.
” The Anti-Ragging Committee and the Discipline Committee met at 9.30 AM today. In their report, they have recommended awarding compulsory TC (Transfer Certificate) to the two +3 students Abhishek Nahak and another student seen in the video. They will be removed from the college,” informed Pramila Khadanga, Principal, Binayak Acharya College.
The 1st year and 2nd year +2 students who were present there are being indentified, Khadanga added.
“All those who were involved will be given compulsory TCs and removed from college. Form fill-up of +2 2nd year students is underway. Those who have already filled up their forms will be barred from appearing in the exam. Those who are scheduled to fill up forms today will be asked not to do so. The Council of Higher Secondary Education and the School & Mass Education Department and the University will be informed,” said Khadanga.
On the basis of the report of the victim in the ragging video which had gone viral Badabazar police after registering a case under sections 294/292(A)/342/323/354(A)/354(B)/509/506/34 IPC read with 12 POCSO/ read with sec 67/67(B) LT Act has so far arrested main accused Abhishek Nayak (24) and Bablu Panda (18).
Further, a 16-year-old boy, another 16-year-old boy, and one 17-year-old boy have been detained by the police for questioning.
