Bittihotra Mohanty To Be Released From Jail On July 6
**Bhubaneswar:** Bittihotra Mohanty will be released from jail on July as the Rajasthan High Court has quashed the parole violation case informed his lawyer Sarthak Nayak.
After the Supreme court’s order of granting him bail in the rape case the sentence of three months in the parole jumping case still existed and he was unable to come out of the jail earlier.
Bitti Mohanty, who had been sentenced seven years rigorous imprisonment by Jaipur fast track court, had absconded in 2006 after getting parole on the ground of visiting his ailing mother.
After seven years on the run, he was re-arrested in March 2013 by the Kerala police from Kunnur where he was working in a bank on a fake identity.
Notably in March 2006, Bitti was convicted for raping a 26-year-old German national in a hotel in Alwar, Rajasthan.
