Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday released the final list of its candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state. Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik announced the names of the candidates via a video message.
The party has announced candidates for three MLA seats—Khandapada, Nilagiri and Korei – and changed the nominee for the Deogarh Assembly constituency.
While Sabitri Pradhan has been nominated for the Khandapada Assembly seat, Sukanta Nayak will contest the Nilagiri seat and Sandhyarani Das will be BJD’s candidate in Korei. It is worth mentioning here that Sandhyarani Das is the mother of Pranab Prakash Das, BJD organisational secretary and the party’s candidate for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat.
