Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have released the list of its star campaigners for the bye-election to the Padampur assembly constituency which is scheduled to be held on December 5.
Odisha Chief Minister-cum-BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik is among the 40 star campaigners of the party. The list comprises the names of Pranab Prakash Das, Prasanna Acharya, Debi Prasad Mishra, Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pratap Keshari Deb, and Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.
Other prominent leaders in the list are Niranjan Pujari, Pratap Jena, Arun Kumar Sahoo, Susanta Singh, Puspendra Singh Deo, Naba Kishore Das, Samir Ranjan Das, Capt. Dibya Sankar Mishra, Rita Sahoo, and others.
The BJP has released the names of 40 star campaigners. Newly-elected Dhamnagar MLA Suryavanshi Suraj, four union ministers- Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Bisweswar Tudu, and Arjun Munda feature in the list.
Other prominent leaders in the list are Odisha BJP president Samir Mohanty, state in-charge Sunil Bansal, D Purandeswari, national vice-president Baijayant Panda, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, former Union ministers Pratap Sarangi and Juel Oram, MP Suresh Pujari and national spokesperson Sambit Patra.
