**Berhampur (Ganjam): ** Demanding arrest of BJP leader Golak Mohapatra for allegedly helping the prime accused of Chhatrapur BJD councillor’s murder case to abscond from Odisha and hide in Uttarakhand.
Talking to OMMCOM NEWS over phone, Chhatrapur MLA Priyanshu Pradhan infromed, “BJD activists belonging to Biju Chhatra Janata Dal, Biju Yuva Janata Dal and Biju Mahila Janata Dal today submitted a memorandum demanding arrest. Our hon’ble MLAs of Sorada and Berhampur were also present there.”
Earlier the activists staged a demo before the Southern Range IG office. They raised anti-BJP and anti-Modi Government slogans.
Notably, the prime accused of the murder Krushna Chandra Nayak and his close aide have been arrested recently by Ganjam Police reportedly from the State Guest House of Uttarakhand in its capital city Dehradun. Nabbed prime accused has revealed before police that he was allegedly helped by Odisha’s BJP leader Golak Mohapatra during their absconding period from Odisha to Kolakata and then to Dehradun and were able to take refuge in the State Guest House there after committing the crime.
