Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) legislature party today convened a crucial meeting on Saturday at party headquarters Sankha Bhavan to chalk out strategies for the upcoming Odisha Assembly budget session.
BJD President and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik chaired the meeting in the presence of all 51 party MLAs.
Patnaik urged legislators to prioritize the state’s interests and those of its 4.5 crore people. In the meeting, BJD resolved to function as an effective opposition in the House.
Patnaik also assigned the MLAs to monitor specific departments and scrutinize the BJP government’s performance.
