**Bhubaneswar:** The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday moved the Election Commission against the BJP alleging that the saffron party is trying to influence voters by advertising Central schemes on television prime time.
As per the complaint filed by the BJD, an ad-film on Atal Pension Yojana is being broadcast on a national entertainment channel during commercial breaks. The party demanded action against BJP and directive to stop the ad-film. This is a violation of the Model Code of Conduct, said Sasmit Patra, BJD Spokesperson.
On the other hand, the regional party delegation led by Sasmit Patra also demanded a thorough probe into the fake ‘Intel’ report which was circulated by the BJP during a press conference earlier.
“Though the Police DG has clearly stated that the report was forged, it is surprising that the Election Commission is yet to act on this serious issue,” Patra said.
