Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janta Dal (BJD) party had an organizational restructuring on Friday and three of its prominent leaders received renewed responsibilities for the party.
In an official communiqué released by BJD, Pratap Keshari Deb was designated as State Returning Officer, Pranab Prakash Das as General Secretary (Organisation) and Sanjay Kumar Das Burma General Secretary (Head Quarter). They will be handling their new responsibilities with immediate effect.
Notably, Pratap Keshari Deb was also the last holder of this post. He represents the State in Rajya Sabha.
The posts of the General Secretary (Organisation) and General Secretary (Head Quarter) was formed for the first time; hence Pranab Prakash Das and Sanjay Kumar Das Burma are the first holders of these posts.
Das is the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) elected from Jajpur, whereas Das Burma is the elected people’s representative of Brahmagiri (Puri).
