Bhubaneswar: ‘Odisha Mo Paribar’, a social welfare programme launched by BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in October 2019 was officially started today from Naveen Nivas here.
Odisha Mo-Parivar is aimed at welfare of people of the State and lending support to poor and needy people. The BJD aims at making its presence in three major fields through this prorgamme. The programme will focus on three major areas — environment, healthcare services and assistance to poor and deprived people.
Under the programme, the BJD will undertake a massive plantation drive by creating awareness among people about environment protection. The BJD has achieved success in its blood donation programme ‘Jeevan Bindu’, and with Odisha Mo Paribar, the blood donation campaign will be transformed into a social movement.
The party would help the people who are working in various sectors in other State and overseas under extreme conditions. Under the programme, BJD workers would stand as the support for victims and provide aid to their families.
Odisha Mo Paribar Convener, Arup Patnaik, BJD MPs Achyuta Samanta, Chandrasekhar Sahu, Pinaki Mishra, MLAs Atanu Sabyasachi, Latika Pradhan, Ananta Jena, Sanjeev Mallick and Manohar Randhari were present while the programme was being officially launched at organisational level today.
Under Odisha Mo Paribar programme, the BJD aims at strengthening the party at grassroots by roping in more than 1 lakh volunteers to join social works. The party president has formed several committees to take this programme forward and its effective implementation.
