BJD State Party Office Receives First Opinion Box Of ‘Ghare Ghare Sankha’ To Draft Manifesto For 2019 Polls

**Bhubaneswar: ** As March 20 had been the deadline set by BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for receiving the opinion boxes from the 86 lakh families in the State for incorporating the inputs in the party manifesto, the ruling party office today received its first opinion box of ‘Ghare Ghare Sankha’ programme kickstarted on March 5 this year.

Informing media, Biju Mahila Janata Dal president Minati Behera said, “It had been slated that the opinion box of ‘Ghare Ghare Sankha’ should reach the BJD Party Office and today it has arrived. Within the next five days, the opinion boxes will be received from across Odisha.”

She further informed, “This vital duty has been entrusted to touch 86 lakh families in the State and accordingly our women workers have obviously done it. They have disseminated the message of our Chief Minister at every household and have gathered their opinions.”

Senior BJD MLA Arun Sahoo said, “Our party president Naveen Patnaik had launched ‘Ghare Ghare Sankha’ on March 5, the birth anniversary of Biju Babu. Forms with the slogan ‘matamata diyanti apana, palana karanti Naveen’ (You Opine, Naveen Obeys) was sent to all assembly constituencies, all villages and all households.”

He informed, “The forms had been sent to 86 lakh families of Odisha and the deadline was March 20. Hence, today the first box reached here from Binjharpur assembly constituency. This receiving process now started. It will last for the next four-five days.”

“Whatever opinions have come, they will be analysed and accepted by the Manifesto Committee. Finally, our party manifesto will be published after our party president accords his seal of approval,” stated the senior BJD leader.
