Bhubaneswar: BJD chief and Leader of the Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday owing to age-related health concerns.
According to reports, the 78-year-old former Chief Minister was rushed to the hospital after experiencing dehydration. Patnaik had reportedly felt uneasiness on Saturday night, prompting doctors to visit his residence at ‘Naveen Niwas.’
Patnaik had recently undergone spinal surgery for cervical arthritis at a Mumbai hospital. He traveled to Mumbai on June 20, underwent the procedure on June 22, and was discharged on July 7. He returned to Odisha on July 12.
Meanwhile, sources informed that Patnaik’s health condition is stable and he is currently under close medical supervision.
