BJD Supremo Naveen Urges MLAs To Help JEE (Main) & NEET 2020 Aspirants

Bhubaneswar: Ruling Biju Janta Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik today appealed to elected legislators from his party to do everything possible to help the JEE (Main) and NEET aspirants.

Stating that all the students are “our family members”, Naveen said over a video conference call that the MLAs should extend their support to the students in their respective constituencies. He added that Odisha is facing two major crisis of COVID-19 pandemic and the floods, and students being our future need our utmost support.

“I had requested the Central government to postpone the entrance examination because of the COVID-19 and flood. However, they have not been postponed yet”, pointed out the CM while adding that everyone has to come together at this moment as examination is to likely happen as scheduled.

Notably, Naveen had announced that all the travelling and staying expenses of the examines would be borne by the State. They have also relaxed the lockdown in the examination centre cities to facilitate the movement of the students, parents/guardians and examination coordinators.

Naveen spoke at length of the manner how the State is fighting novel coronavirus. He lauded the Covid Warriors and said that they rightly deserve all adulations and our respect. Taking the opportunity, Odisha’s five-time Chief Minister urged everyone to strictly follow COVID-19 regulations.

Of battling with floods in the State, Naveen appealed the MLAs to extend all help possible to the people of their respective constituencies. He added that the State will provide with necessary help.
