Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has suspended, Dr Prafulla Majhi from the party for being involved in anti-party activities.
Former Congress leader and three-time MLA from Talasara assembly of Sundargarh district joined the party on December 10, 2021, after being expelled from the Congress party for unruly behaviour and misconduct.
Dr Prafulla Majhi served as the Senior General Secretary of the Biju Janata Dal.
He won his first by-elections in 2006 and was subsequently re-elected in the 2009 and 2014 assembly elections.
