Bhubaneswar: In a fiery response to BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik’s allegations that the BJP government in Odisha has halted development projects over the past 16 months, Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida fired back at the opposition party, saying that the people of Nuapada are ready to respond to 24 years of BJD’s betrayal.

Parida’s remarks came after Naveen Patnaik accused the BJP government of abandoning the welfare of the people and halting development projects over the past 16 months. During a campaign rally for BJD’s Snehangini Chhuria, Patnaik had levelled allegations against the BJP.

Deputy CM took to her X handle to hit back and wrote: “What is betrayal? Now it seems to have struck Chamu! The Nuapada people are preparing to respond to 24 years of BJD’s betrayal. Sisters of Mission Shakti will surely give those who betrayed their trust their answer in the elections.”

“Not false promises – the residents of Nuapada will vote with trust and faith in the 500-day government. Double engine, Captain fit – they will choose BJP, vote for BJP”, she further wrote.
